Union
Shipping Minister G K Vasan on Saturday said that the Centre would notify the
final award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal in the gazette soon.
Speaking
to reporters after dedicating DCI Dredge XiX at Ennore Port, he said the
notification will help resolve inter-state water sharing problem in future.
His
comments comes in the wake of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa writing a letter to
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh urging him to immediately notify the tribunal's
final order for ensuring release of water by Karnataka to save withering crops
in the state.
