A
postal assistant of Karaikudi Head Post Office and her husband is under
the scanner of Central Bureau of Investigation (Anti-Corruption Branch)
for possessing disproportionate assets which is 206 per cent more than
her known source of income.
CBI
said that Muthumathi’s income from October 1, 2014 to June 30, 2016 was
taken in for computation and it was found that she acquired large
number of assets in her name and that of family members.
It
is learnt that the income from salary, rental income, deposits,
interest earned and loans availed from October 1, 2014 to June 20, 2016
was 4.39 lakh.
Muthumathi
joined the postal department on March 2011 as postal assistant. She is
the lone earning member and her husband is unemployed.
