Chennai:
Tamil
Nadu government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mahindra
Industrial Park to set up a 110kv substation in Eliayambedu village in
Gummidipoondi to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
The
initiative is being taken up under the ‘Ease of Doing Business’, under
which Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) will
set up the substation for the Mahindra Industrial Park’s 36 MVA
electricity load industrial facility in Gummidipoondi
As per the agreement TANGEDCO will maintain it once in 15-days.
The
land for the sub-station will be provided by Mahindra Industrial Park
and feeders will be put up by TANGEDCO for power supply and the
expenditure in this respect will be borne by the power corporation. A
facilittation cell will also be set up to redress the power grievances, a
government release stated.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief minister Edapaddi K Palaniswami and other state government officials.
