Tamil Nadu is increasing the 12th plan allocation by Rs one lakh crore in a bid to make the state number one in the country.
State planning commission chairperson Santha Sheila Nair told reporters here on Monday that 11th plan outlay was 85,000 crore and the state this year has planned to earmark Rs 1.85 lakh crore for the 12th plan.
She also said there were slippages in the 11th plan and the state is working on measures to plug the slippages under 12th plan. She also said that some of the departments did perform well in the 11th plan.
