The newly upgraded delivery post office at Mahindra World City would
Chennai’s first all women delivery post office.
Post Master general of Chennai City Region Merwin Alexander told that
although Mahindra World city post office is the second All Women Post
Office in the region, it also is the first of its kind when it comes
to delivery of posts by women.
“The All Women Post Office near Ethiraj College had women doing only
counter operations. But in Mahindra World City we have two postwomen
who will delivering the mails. It is full-fledged all women post
office,” said Alexander.
Interestingly, the Mahindra World City post office was recently
upgraded from delivery Sub Office to departmental delivery post office
on Monday.
Alexander said that Mahindra World City post office will serve as a
delivery office for the companies inside Mahindra World City with the
newly allotted Pincode 603004.
He also urged all companies to make changes in the pincode in their
address and also in the websites regarding the newly allotted pincode
603004 for Mahindra World City sub post office for easy and prompt
delivery of the articles.
