Chennai flight schedules hit due to fog in Delhi

Flight services from Chennai airport to New Delhi airport as well as New Delhi airport to Chennai Airport were affected for more than one hour on the second day due to the dense fog in Delhi.
The arrivals from Delhi have been delayed by nearly one hour, said a Airport Authority official. Similarly, some flights to Delhi were also hit due to fog. Airport sources said the landing was delayed to fog but flights were not diverted.
Air India spokesman said that their flight AI 143 which departs from Chennai at 8.45 am has been delayed by 75 minutes in view of dense fog.
“Almost all airlines have been hit. The delay has also affected the departure of many flights from Chennai as the connecting flights have been delayed,” said AAI official said.
