New helpline to help quench Chennaites thirst


Chennai:
Now consumers availing Metro Water connections have an additional helpline to register their complaints regarding water supply and sewerage issues.
Metro Water managing director Apoorva Varma said that a new helpline has been installed at the residence of Municipal Administration and Rural Development Minister K P Munnusamy.
“The new helpline (o44-24649787) will be available 24-hour and the complaints will be immediately looked into,” he said.
Interestingly, the helpline is in addition to the already prevailing helpline 044-45674567 in the Metro water headquarters. The new helpline was initiated keeping in view the summer season where there will be more complaints regarding the shortage of water
