Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday carried out raid on a personal office of Karthi Chidambaram, son of former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram in a case pertaining to Foreign Exchange Management Act.
A Enforcement Directorate source confirmed to Express that raid was carried out in a personal office belonging to Karthi Chidambaram in Nungambakkam.
“We carried a search on a premise which we locked it on December 1 as raid could not be carried out due to rains. We have recovered some incriminating documents from the office,” said the ED source.
To a query on the amount of FEMA violations, the source said that they are analysing file by file. “We have yet to ascertain it. We have launched our investigation case by case,” said the source.
