The Commissioner of Municipal Administration has ordered a probe over
the status of four roads in the Avadi municipality that sparked
controversy over an RTI reply.
The probe was ordered after an RTI reply by Avadi municipality stated
that roads were laid in Alagirisamy Street, Kalaignar Street, Mayor
Stalin Street, Velayutham Street, K.V.K.Samy Street. However, RTI
activist Mohammed Iliyaas of Satta Panchayat Iyakkam who has sought
the information found that the roads were not laid in the four
localities in Ward number 27.
“This will be a fact finding enquiry which will ascertain the facts.
There is no need to jump into conclusions,” a CMA source.
