Union govt plans to link Aadhaar with National Health Assurance Mission

New Delhi:
The proposal to launch National Health Assurance Mission is currently under examination. The proposal envisages that under the proposed Mission, Unique ID card could eventually become the means for establishing identity as needed by the system.

Based on decision taken, the Central Government has issued instructions on October 16, 2014 to Telecom Service providers to collect “Aadhaar Numbers” along with Customer Application Form while issuing mobile telephone connections and to store the same in their database along with other data, Health Minister J P Nadda stated.
