EID Parry turnover, profit dwindles

Chennai:
EID Parry (India) Limited, one of the largest manufacturers of Sugar in India, reported financial results for the Half Year ended 30th September 2013.

The standalone turnover of EID Parry for the Quarter was Rs. 453.87 Crore (Corresponding quarter of Previous Year: Rs. 502.66 Crore), with a Net Profit before exceptional item and tax of Rs. 25.25 Crore (Corresponding quarter of Previous Year: Net Profit before exceptional item and tax of Rs. 69.07 Crore). The current year figures include the figures of the merged units of Parrys Sugar Industries Limited, namely Haliyal and Sankili, while the previous year figures do not include the same.

The consolidated turnover for the quarter ended 30th September 2013 was Rs. 2,476.74 Crore (Corresponding quarter of Previous Year: Rs. 3,253.73 Crore) and Profit after Tax before Minority Interest was Rs. 68.21 Crore (Corresponding quarter of Previous Year: Profit of Rs. 182.97 Crore).
