CSS Corp signs MOU with ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu

Chennai: CSS Corp, a global technology services company supporting products, deploying networks and managing IT infrastructuresigned an MOU with the ICT academy of Tamil Nadu to enhance employability through technology-based career trainings free of cost, for students of the state.

The MOU signed between Raj Reddy, executive vice president and Chief Delivery Officer-Global, CSS Corp and M Sivakumar CEO ICTACT launching the CSS Corp “Skill+ Outreach program” focused on equipping the students with the relevant capabilities in technology support to make them employable.
Speaking on the occasion, Raj Reddy said “This is integral part of our CSR program and is expected to bridge the gap between industry and academia thereby increasing employability, and help creating a scalable and sustainable talent pool for the IT services industry.  Students will be trained on both soft skills and technical skills and will be periodically assessed on knowledge, skill and other abilities required for employment. This will hugely benefit the final year graduating students (Arts/Science/Engineering) in & around Chennai City and we expect 500 students to be trained by June 2014.”
The initiative is part of CSS Corp’s corporate social responsibility and focuses on creating real opportunities for the graduating students.  After the short list and selection, the students will be provided the Letter of Intent and will be invited to CSS Corp where they will be briefed about the program and can register themselves. Students will be provided with free access to CSS online training portal “Techcareer” to pursue the courses and will also have to attend classroom training.
“We are extremely happy to be a part of this exercise. ICTACT will collaborate with CSS Corp to create the right platform to train and select the best talent from academia. We will work extensively to support, promote and create awareness about the program in colleges”, said M. Sivakumar.
