Rosaiah yet to receive summons over land denotification case

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah on Wednesday said he has yet to receive summons from an Andhra Pradesh court in connection with a case related to de-notification of government land in favour of some private parties.
Speaking to reporters after delivering the inaugural address at a national seminar on ‘Food Safety – Role of Standards’ here, the governor said, “I did not receive the summons yet. I only heard it from the media.”
The governor’s reaction comes in the wake of a Hyderabad court summoning him to appear before it on August 2 in connection with a criminal case against him over the allotment of a tract of prime land in the city worth about Rs. 500 crore.
The former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was among the 13  accused in the case, related to denotification of 9.14 acres of prime land at Ameerpet in Hyderabad in 2010.
“Let me receive the summons. It will be looked from legal angles and then be decided,” Rosaiah told reporters when queried about the summons issued to him on June 18 by the court.
