Ahamed slams BJP gives clean chit to Antony on Tatra truck scam

Union Defence Minister A K Antony’s hands are clean and BJP which is demanding his resignation on the Tatra Truck scam must first ensure its hands are clean before pointing a finger at anyone, according to Union Minister of state for Human Resources Development and External Affairs E Ahamed.
Speaking to reporters after the honouring the graduates of Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering on its Eighth Graduation Day on Saturday, the minister said it was BJP who remained silent during the Tehelka expose which brought to light the direct involvement of a Union Minister.
“Now those people, whose hands are unclean, are now advising on morality,” said Ahamed.
Ahamed also defended Indian government’s move to vote against Sri Lanka in the recent United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session in Geneva and said Indian has best ties with its neighbor but the decision was taken based on India’s principles over the issue.
He also said India’s decision to vote against Lanka will not hit bilateral ties and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has written a letter to Sri Lanka justifying his stance on the issue.
