Voltech Group forms JV with Nigerian company to expand its solar energy business



Chennai:

Voltech group, a leading service provider in the Testing and Commissioning of Electrical systems globally, has formed a Joint Venture with Nigerian company Bonjul Management Services to expand its Solar Energy business in the West African country.



Addressing a press conference here,  Voltech Group Chairman and Managing Director M Umapathi said that through this JV, the company would markets 17th overseas entry besides its presence in Middle East, Europe, Africa and in other Asian countries.

The MoU for this project was signed and exchanged by officials from both the companies. A representative from Julius Abuda, Managing Director Bonjul Management Services, Nigeria was present to exchange the MoU.



Umapathi said Nigeria  is rich in mineral and is fast growing with a lot of opportunities, holds a lot of promise for the business. Voltech, as a company, has a longstanding track record of completing multiple Electrical and Energy projects for Public and Private sector through its efficiency and richly experienced man power.


He said  Voltech also bagged orders from ABB Ltd, Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd, TANGEDCO, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), JSW among others.



Voltech group has has also taken up Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant project to ensure the safety of the plant. Engineers of Voltech were deployed at the Plant and were instrumental in the final testing and commissioning of Phase I of the project.
