Chennai:
The state security professionals were wooed to take part
in the seventh edition of South Asia’s largest commercial security, civil
security and fire safety show to be held in Greater Noida from December 5.
Addressing a press conference, Verghese V Joseph,
director (editorial) and conference head – security portfolio, UBM India, said
that IFSEC India offers the perfect platform for Tamil Nadu’sd security
professionals for joint ventures, partnerships and associations, sourcing,
dealership and network tapping.
He said IFSEC is expected to have 250 exhibitors from
over 20 countries who will interact with almost 10,000 security professionals
visiting the show.
There will also be dedicated country pavilions from China
and France and many more countries are expected to join, he said.
He said the $500 million Indian security market is
expected to grow at 30 per cent to 35 per cent.
“The Indian government has increased its security budget
by 35 per cent, announcing a spend of $1 billion on police modernization and
arranging coordinated intelligence gathering as well as increasing security for
critical infrastructure and its 7,500 km long coastline. All of these promise
an exciting future for the Indian security industry and IFSEC India in years to
come,” he said.
In addition, parallel conferences on commercial and
end-user security have been lined up and bring together the best minds in the
industry, discussing critical issues and future strategies such as ‘good
analytics is good business’, ‘systems integration and next generation security
systems’, best practices for commercial security’, solutions for smart and safe
neighbourhoods,’ etc.
Major security player from the city Veriprox IT will be
introducing its latest security offerings in the event.
