Sachin Pilot says Cong-BJP may have differences in ideologies but they are friends

Chennai:
After the acerbic exchanges between BJP Prime Minister designate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, a UPA minister on Thursday said that despite several differences both the parties are not enemies.

Delivering the inaugural address of 41st National Convention of Company secretaries here on Thursday, minister of state for corporate affairs Sachin Pilot said that irrespective of what people see in television or the difference in ideology among political parties, “We are not enemies.”

“We compete politically to serve for five years. We should not take it at the personal level,” Pilot said while stating that the chairman of the parliament standing committee to draft Companiesd Act 2013 is from BJP. “We work together for what is better for the country,” he said.

He also said that to get a bill passed in the parliament is a Herculean task as it has to get the nod from 44 parties and that too amidst adjournments to the parliament session.

He also said that corporate rivalry should be like political rivalry and they should adhere to ethics.
