Chennai:
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has
prepared a credit plan of Rs 1.44 lakh crore for Tamil Nadu and
Puducherry for 2015-16, around 16 per cent higher from the credit
projection of Rs 1.24 lakh crore.
K Venkateswara Rao, chief general manager of Nabard, said that the
projection covers sectors like crop loan (59,801 crore), term loan (Rs
32,528 crore), other priority sector (Rs 25,647 crore) and non farm
activities (Rs 26459 crore).
