State sanctions eight posts for TN biodiversity board

Chennai:
The state government has sanctioned eight posts for the Tamil Nadu Biodiversity Board.
In a government order, the environment and forest department has sanctioned the posts of administrative officer, superintendent, console operator, assistant (three) and office assistant (two).
The GO has permitted the principal chief conservator of forests and chief wildlife warden to employ retired officials as office assitants. Interestingly, the Forests Minister K T Pachamal opposed the appointment of retired officials during the Tamil Nadu Biodiversity Board meeting stating that youth should be appointed to these posts.
