Central govt employees protest over govt indifference to demands on 7th pay commission

Chennai:
Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers on Friday protested over the government’s stance on the terms of reference for 7th pay commission.
J Ramamurthy, state president of Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers and general secretary of the confederation Duraipandian told Express that the protest is organized to condemn the attitude of the Centre in dealing with pay commission demand of Central government employees.
The government has ignored the demands of the employees to modify the TOR despite assurances during a meeting on October 25, 2013. The TOR does not mention from when the 7th pay commission would come into effect nor about the quantum of dearness allowance and interim relief besides including the gramin dak sevaks under the purview of pay commission, the said.
