Coastguard prepares strategy to contain oil spill along Indian coast

Chennai:

In a bid to review the capabilities to contain oil spill along the Indian coast, Indian Coast Guard organized 4^th Regional Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan and preparedness meeting with all ports and oil handling agencies.

The meeting was chaired by Inspector general of Coast guard Satya Prakash Sharma and attended by delegates from various central or state agencies, ports and oil handling agencies.
