Intel agencies plan strategies to strengthen TN coastal security



Chennai:
In a move to strengthen the coastal security mechanism in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, a intelligence sharing meeting involving all stake holders was conducted at Coast Guard regional headquarters here on Monday.
The Sixth Intelligence Sharing Meeting (ISM) was chaired by Coast Guard inspector general (east) S P Sharma and delegates included various central and state agencies like Indian Navy, Central Industrial Security Force, Coastal Security Group (CSG), Narcotics Control Bureau, Central Bureau of Investigation, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, National Investigation Agency and others.
The stake holders reviewed the contingency plan, preparedness, capabilities and to make Eastern coast impregnable.
