Chennai:
People’s
Movement Against Nuclear Energy is now launching a campaign to put
international pressure on the government to scrap Koodankulam nuclear project.
A
group of activists on Friday visited Japan, germany and Russian embassies and
submitted a memorandum seeking their support for anti-Koodankulam stir.
Alleging
about the high-handedness of the government in trying to quell the protest,
they said nuclear energy is a global issue and effects of it cannot be
restricted to any national borders or international boundaries. The team
included Prof Karl Marx, writer Gnani and others.
