Chennai:
Income Tax officials carried out a survey of Thirrupathi Brothers, a Tamil film production company owned noted film director, producer and screen writer N Lingusamy and his brother N Subash Chandrabose on Tuesday.
The survey was being carried out after officials suspected tax evasion by the brothers.
The raids were carried out in the office of Tirupathi Brothers located in La Mech Street in Valasaravakkam at around 10 am.
While officials refused to disclose any information, the raids come at a time when the production house plans to release two films Ivan Veramathiri and Manja Pai this year.
The shooting of both the films is in progress. Similarly, the Kumki famed production house has four titles under pre-production.
