MEA issued two-week notice after wife approaches court to help trace hubby missing for 18 months

Chennai:

After husband had gone missing for 18 months in Malayasia, a desperate
wife has approached High Court seeking direction to the Ministry of
external Affairs and High Commission of Malaysia to trace her husband
and bring him back to her.

Theivanai, wife of Nallathambi, in her petition before justice B
Rajendran said her husband was missing since October 12, 2012 after he
had gone to meet his friend one Syed Mohammed.

Theivanai said that she had sent several complaints to Malaysian
embassy, Indian embassy and ministry of external affairs but in vain.

She said that even a complaint has been lodged but the respondents
have not taken any action till date. “I fear whether my husband is
alive or not. I and my relatives are mentally upset,” she stated.

The judge issued notice returnable by two weeks to Ministry of External Affairs.
