Passengers devoid of info on flights as officials remove TV screens

Chennai airport passengers will now be devoid of any information about their flights arrival and departure as airport officials suddenly removed all the 20 TV screens from the terminal as well as near the gate.

Airport sources told Express that a total of 16 TV screens, which were used to provide information and status about h flights, were removed inside the terminal and four on the entrance gates.

This comes after a TV screen collapsed inside the airport. Sources reveal that the measure is temporary. But then the move would have an impact on the passengers who would want to know the details about their aircraft.

Airport Authority of India officials could not be reached. The removal of TV screens also comes after alleged reports about portion of false ceiling falling down and glass panels breaking up.
