Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosiah on Friday urged the youth not
to shy away from joining the politics and bring in a change.
Speaking after honouring cadets of Indian Naval Academy
in Ezhimala in Kerala, the governor said that in the developed countries people
fight during the elections but after that concentrate on the welfare of the
people.
“In our country, it is not like that. Youth should join
politics and try to do their best to bring in a change and help the country,”
Rosiah, one of the senior most politicians of the country and former chief
minister of Andhra Pradesh said.
The 80-year-old politician also walked down the memory
lane highlighting how his life transformed after he joined the student politics.
Later talking to Express, Lt A Manikandan of Indian Navy
said that the 65 trainees, including 10 women, from Coastguard and Indian Navy
had come to visit the governor and learn from his experiences.
