Chennai:
Indian Coast Guard ship Vishwast apprehended a Sri Lankan fishing boat on Saturday with five crew on board and 155 kg of fish about 174 nautical miles east of Chennai.
The boat Dhanuska Putha I (IMUL-A-0097710 SRILANKA) was apprehended and escorted by ICG Vishwast and handed over to local police authority on Monday, a Coastguard release stated late on Tuesday night.
This is in addition to ICG Sagar apprehending a Sri Lankan boat Podimali on August 21. The boat along with five crew were handed over to local police on August 24.
