Chennai:
Connect 2013, a premier annual conference and exhibition on
Information and Communication Technology is set to click from September 24 at
Chennai Trade Centre.
The event organized by, Confederation of Indian Industry
(CII) in partnership with state government, would showcase Tamil Nadu as a
preferred destination of choice for investment in the information and communications
technology sector and also position the state as a global hub for ICT
manufacturing.
The function is expected to be inaugurated by the State
Industries Minister P Thangamani, a CII spokesman said. The conference will
also have a strong focus on creating a vibrant start up ecosystem in Tamil Nadu
to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among youth to drive growth of ICT in
Tamil Nadu.
Mukkur N Subramanian, state minister for Information Technology,
will present the Connect Entrepreneurs Awards during the valedictory Session
The event would also have range of speakers including M F
Farooqui Secretary of department of telecommunications,
S Krishnan, Principal Secretary of state Planning and Development, T K
Ramachandran, It secretary; Atul Anand , managing director of ELCOT and Mike
Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner among others.
