TENNECO CLEAN AIR TECHNOLOGIES SHOWCASED AT ECMA

Chennai: Tenneco Automotive India Limited presented its Clean Air division’s solutions for emerging markets at the recent 5th Emission Control Technologies Conference in New Delhi.  The conference entitled “Implementation & Challenges for Pan India Emission Norms” and organized by the Emission Control Manufacturers Association (ECMA), was attended by vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, industry thought leaders and research organizations in the field of Automobile emissions from India and around the world.


Tenneco's suite of clean air technologies are specifically designed to enable reduction of NOx, particulate matter mass and number, as well as hydrocarbons and CO2.  Pankaj Kapoor, Deputy Managing  Director, Tenneco Automotive India, said: “Tenneco’s experience in systems integration, thermal management, materials science, predictive tooling, engineering and design together with its expanded global footprint provide customers with solutions that can be implemented anywhere in the world without compromising vehicle performance or durability. Dr. Padmanabha Ettireddy, an emissions expert from Tenneco’s North American Technology Development Centre in Grass Lake, Michigan, presented Tenneco’s Hydrocarbon-dosed Lean NOx Catalyst Systems (HC-LNC), developed using the company’s experience in Urea-dosed Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) solutions. The HC-LNC technology is of particular importance in Brazil where ethanol used as a reductant has been tested extensively by OEMs there
