US universities fair to be held from Sept 10

Chennai:
Students in Chennai aspiring to study in the United States now have a chance to interact with representatives from 29 accredited US universities in the city.

A US Consulate release here said that the representative of these universities would be participating in US Universities Fair to be held here on Tuesday.

The fair is organised by United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) in collaboration with the Institute of International Education (IIE), a not-for-profit organization.

According to Adam Grotsky, executive director of the US-India Educational Foundation, “The main purpose of the USIEF-IIE-EducationUSA Fair is to give students the opportunity to meet and interact with representatives of some of the most prominent and selective American universities.”

Students will also benefit from one-on-one sessions with admissions officers, getting reliable and authentic information about their programs. The information and guidance provided by representatives of the universities will help students make informed choices about colleges and programs through parallel sessions throughout the fair.

Students can also collect application forms, materials and view books from these institutional representatives.

The fair will be held from 3pm to 8pm at Hotel Taj Coromandel, Nungambakkam.
"This is a great opportunity for students in Chennai to have a direct interaction with US universities,” said Jennifer McIntyre, Consul General of the US Consulate Chennai in a statement.
