Sagayam to file granite mining report on Nov 23

Chennai: 

The High Court-appointed Legal Commissioner, U Sagayam is likely to file his report on the investigation into granite mining and related issues in the state before the Madras High Court by November 23.  

The First Bench of Chief Justice S.K. Kaul and Justice T.S. Sivagnanam granted five more weeks time to Sagayam to submit the report following a request form the Legal Commissioner’s Counsel V Suresh. 

‘Traffic’ Ramasamy, in whose public interest litigation the Madras High Court appointed the Commissioner, sought the court direction to at least file an interim report. The court refused and directed Sagayam to file report by November 23
