Chennai:
The Deputy Nautical Surveyor of Mercantile Marine Department has been sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment in a disproportionate case filed by CBI.
Additional Special Judge for CBI Cases S Kannammaal also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on him for possessing disproportionate assets worth Rs 90.37 lakh for which he could not satisfactorily account for.
The Anti Corruption Branch of CBI, Chennai, registered and investigated a case against Capt Mishra on allegations he acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income while functioning as Deputy Nautical Advisor in Chennai and Tuticorin.
