New Delhi: A total of 645 terrorists were killed by the army from 2010-13, according to Defence Minister A K Antony. He told Parliament that the army conducted 232 operations during the same period.
He also said that a total of 68 complaints were filed with National Human Rights Commission during the period of which 60 were investigated. Currently, eight cases are under investigation.
The number and details of encounters that have taken place across the country involving the Army during each of the last three years and the current year are as under:-
