Eureka Forbes says water survey is based on consumer perceptions

After strong criticism by Chennai Metro Water, Eureka Forbes on Wednesday said that the survey that claimed 80 per cent of diseases in the city are caused by unhealthy drinking water, is purely based on ‘consumer perceptions' and is not to offend any organization, body or individuals involved.
In a statement, Eureka Forbes said the study ‘Kya Aapka Pani Beemar Hai’ was strictly carried out to highlight the teething troubles that consumers might be facing with respect to water.
The sole objective of the water audit was to map the causes and reasons affecting families and individuals across India due to increasing levels of water contamination and unavailability of safe, healthy drinking water, the statement added.
