Now Chennaites can watch TV channels in their mobile
phone with Bharat Sanchar Nigam coming out with a new package.
According to BSNL, the customers can avail the facility
to watch TV channels on their mobile phones through special data STVs bundled
with mobile TV channels.
Currently, BSNL has come out with three such STVs which are
launched with different set of channels, data and validity. The three Special Data STVs are rated at Rs
291, Rs165 and Rs 81.
Data STV costs Rs 165 and provides 1GB data besides
50-plus TV channels, with validity of 30 Days. Interestingly, most of the
channels are in Tamil. These include Star Vijay, Sun TV, Jaya TV, Raj TV,
Vasanth TV Makkal TV, Sun Music, Raj Music, J-Movies, Sun News, Raj News, Jaya
Plus, Cartoon network, Regional Entertainment, Music and News channels etc.
In the Data STV which is priced at Rs 291, BSNL provides
2GB data besides 30 TV channels, with validity of 30 Days. These Include Raj TV Channels, Cartoon
Network, Ten Sports Channels, MTV, English News Channels etc.
Data STV priced at Rs 81 provides 500 MB Data besides 104
TV Channels, with validity of 15 days. These include NDTV Channels and DD
Channels.
BSNL has also launched new Data STV under GSM Prepaid
Mobile Services from Wednesday. It is priced at Rs 1949 bundled with free data usage
of 20 GB and validity for 60 days.
