Chennai: Su-Kam Power Systems Ltd. leading power back up solution provider from India, is making rapid strides in widening its reach amongst customers and strengthening its brand name in Uganda. The company launched its first ever exclusive product experience centre: ‘Power Shoppee’ in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda,On Saturday.
The company, as a part of its aggressive retail expansion plan, aims to launch 5 additional ‘Power Shoppees’ in Jinja, Kampala, Mbala, Arua and Gulu towns of Uganda in the next 3 months, subsequently.
Su-Kam’s decision to launch exclusive ‘Power Shoppees’ in Uganda is in line with its global strategy to increase its footprints across the African continent. This initiative came at the back of a robust market share that the company already enjoys in Uganda. Su-Kam was one of the first power back up companies from India to have entered Uganda and to have introduced a wide range of innovative back up solutions, according to the needs of the end customer in these regions.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonia Nagpal, Global Business Head, Su-Kam, said, “We are very pleased to launch our first ever power shoppee in Uganda. This shall bring us closer to our customers in the country. We also aim to bring to the customer highly advanced solar products by means of which they can convert their existing inverters into solar inverters and derive various benefits of cost saving and reduced carbon footprint from the same.”
Recently, Su-Kam has also introduced very innovative solar solutions for household as well as corporate sectors. One particular innovative product, the Su-Kam ‘Brainy’ enables the customer to charge the UPS through both solar energy and grid supply, with a clear priority to solar supply. The company is bullish on making this product widely available to the masses in Uganda where erratic power supply from the grid is a daily occurrence.
