Two Indian soldiers killed in Southern Sudan


Chennai:
Two Indian soldiers were killed and one injured in action in Akobo in Southern Sudan on Friday morning.
The soldiers were part of the UN Mission in South Sudan.
The injured soldier has been transported to the Mission’s medical facility in Malakal, A United Nations release said.

UN Mission in South Sudan has condemned in the strongest terms the violence that occurred in Akobo and continues in other parts of the country.
“We call on all parties to the crisis to refrain from further violence and seek a peaceful resolution to the crisis,” the release said.
