Chennai:
Election Commission on Tuesday submitted that representation of
Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK) seeking symbol of candle will be
decided in accordance with law before the last date of filing
nominations.
The petition came up for hearing at the first bench before acting
chief justice Satish K Agnihotri and justice M M Sundresh.
The Election Commission also submitted before the first bench that it
was for the returning officer of Tenkasi Lok Sabha constituency to
take a decision on the representation of Puthiya Tamilagam seeking
symbol of Television to contest Lok Sabha polls.
