Chennai:
A wrong question in Biology during the higher secondary public exams has resulted in a parent approaching High court to issue direction to the school education department to issue three full marks.
S Sivagnanam father of S Sowdhini submitted before Justice B Rajendran that the question number 25 in Section B of Part II (zoology) of the Biology in English language question paper was faulty one and his daughter was not able to answer the question thus hampering her prospects of getting a centum in the exams.
Stating that even a single mark will count for the candidates securing admissions in professional courses, he said the directorate of government examinations is silent in respect to the wrong question in the Biology exams conducted on March 20, 2014.
Urging the High Court for an interim injunction restraining director of school education, directorate of government exams and school education secretary and their subordinates from valuating the answer sheets of candidates, he said the respondents can’t ask a different question to students who write in Tamil and different question to students who write in English.
